***State of the Union Address 2015 Extra Credit*** Having listen to our President speak tonight in the state of our Union, it's now your turn to share your thoughts. Consider all the topics President Obama touched on and select the two that you believe are most important to you and to our country. Explain what President Obama had to say about them, why they are most important and whether you agree with the President or not. Please keep your comments appropriate and respectful as they will be seen online representing you, myself and our school. Keep in mind that your comment will only post if I approve it and you will only receive extra credit if I am able to approve your comment. When you post your comment only include your first name and last initial. Next to your last initial skip a space and add the number of your class period. Ok, get to it! Now that you have listened to President Obama speak on his plans to reform immigration, now is your turn to share your thoughts on what you heard him say.
In the Comments, give a SUMMARY of what the President spoke on and then share your thoughts on his intended plans. In the section where you write your name only give your first name and last initial followed by a 2,3,5,6,7, or 8 to indicate when I see you through out the day. Watch the speech below and write your summary as a comment or hand written by Friday, Sept. 12th and you will receive extra credit on your 7 Principles of Government exam. Tell me what issues he addressed, his proposed intentions, when he wants to take action and how he will do it. Write a well structured paragraph of about 5-6 sentences in which you also state your opinion of the situation and your personal thoughts on what the President said and his plans.
