Abolition – when a law or a system is officially ended
Absolute – true, correct, and not changing
Act – a law that has been officially accepted by parliament or congress
Address – a formal speech that someone makes to a group of people.
Agriculture (noun) – the practice or science of farming and ranching agriculturally(adj)
Alien – someone who is not a citizen of the country they are living or working in.
Ally – a country that agrees to help or support another country
Amendment – a small change, improvement, or addition that is made to a law or document
Article – a part of a law or legal agreement that deals with a particular point
Artisan(noun) – a skilled worker or craftsman who usually makes things with their hands artisanal(adj)
Assassination – the act of murdering an important person
Assembly (noun)– a group of people who are elected to make decisions or laws for a country assemble(verb)
Bicameral – a legislature that consists of two parts
Bill – a written proposal for a new law, which is brought to a legislature so that it can be discussed and voted on.
Boycott – to refuse to buy something, use something, or take part in something as a way of protesting
Cash crop (noun)– a crop grown in order to be sold rather than to be used by the people growing it
Class(noun) – a group of people in a society that is divided according to type of job, income, education, race etc
Climate – the typical weather conditions in a specific area
Colony (noun)– a settlement created by group of people in a distant land but that remains under the control of government in their home country. colonization(noun); colonize (verb); colonial(adj)
Compromise – a solution to a problem that is achieved after everyone involved accepts less than what they wanted at first
Confederation – a group of independent states that have united for a common purposes or trade
Congress – a meeting where a chosen or elected group of people discuss ideas, make decisions and make the laws

Continental – relating to a continent, or large mass of land
